In line with celebrating 2019 as a year of tolerance and with the announcement of “Zayed Declaration of Tolerance” Initiative by his highness sheik Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahian, the Minister of Foreign affairs and International Cooperation, The Head of The Higher National Committee of Tolerance, the Cultural attaché has organized a cultural event at Monash university in Victoria. The event aimed to establish the values of tolerance and coexistence established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in the UAE society.
HE Rawdha Almansoori, the Cultural Attache in Canberra, participated in the event along with the Deputy Consul General of Melbourne, HE Tarek Al Ali, the Police Attaché in Victoria, the Lt. Col. Majed Al Ameri, his Deputy Major Abdul Aziz Al Juneibi, and Major Mohammed Al Junaibi, Dr. Nizar Fargo, representative of Monash University.
In addition, a number of Emirati students participated actively to acquaint their colleagues from other cultures and ethnicities with the general value of tolerance. “Zayed Declaration of Tolerance” reflects the bright image of the inherent values of tolerance in Emirati culture that have always fostered the values of community solidarity and multiculturalism in a society that has long been celebrated for harmony.
UAE students echoed Zayed's commitment to tolerance, reaffirming their full commitment to tolerance, coexistence and openness to other religions and cultures inside and outside the country.
