In line with the keenness of the UAE cultural mission to strengthen the relations with the Australian universities. The UAE Cultural Attaché in Australia, HE Rawda Al Mansoori, accompanied by a delegation from the UAE Cultural Mission, visited the University of Queensland on Friday 15th March 2019.
Her Excellency met with Ms. Angela Li the Manager, International, Faculty of EAIT and some of the university and faculties representatives.
 During the meeting the delegations discussed several topics where HE Almansoori introduced the role of the Cultural Attaché and the purpose of the visit. HE proposed to sing off a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Education and the universities to regulate the relation with the university. The university welcomed the initiative and expressed its willingness to work closely with the Cultural Attaché and strengthen the relations.
Ms. Angela Li introduced the university’s plan in developing the relations with the Middle Eastern countries and the UAE in specific to build a strong relation in the education sector.
On top of the topics The Cultural Attaché took the lead and introduced the UAE Teachers Training Program for discussion with the University of Queensland to cooperate with the Ministry of Education to train UAE teachers according to the requirements of the Ministry.
In addition, the academic performance of the UAE students has been discussed while the university assured the keenness of providing all means of support to the UAE students through their academic journey.
At the end of the meeting HE Almansoori thanked the university for the hospitality and presented some gifts to the university representatives. Commemorative photos were taken.
