The UAE Cultural Attaché participated in the Third Saudi Scientific Symposium, organized by the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Australia and the Saudi Students Club in Sydney.
The symposium was attended by 50 researchers from the GCC students and international students who presented their research projects to the arbitration committees in the fields of medical science, engineering and computer science, and humanities. The top three winners in the three fields of the symposium were honoured and awarded cash and in-kind prizes.
For her part, Mrs Rawda Al Mansoori, the UAE cultural attaché, stressed on the importance of the participation of scholarship students with their Saudi, other GCC and international colleagues in such scientific gatherings, which contributes to the exchange of scientific experience and the development of research capacity, as well as building relationships with other academics and researchers in various fields. She also expressed her appreciation to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Cultural Attaché for the wonderful organization and keenness on the success of the Third Scientific Symposium in Sydney.
The symposium was attended by a wide range of international students and representatives of Australian universities. The arbitration committees consisted of a number of academics, private sector representatives and Australian industry sector representatives to assess the relevance of the research content to the expectations and needs of the labour market.
