The Cultural Mission participated in the celebration of the 45th National Day held by the UAE Embassy in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Obaid Al Hiri Salim Al Ketbi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Australia in the Great Hall of the National Gallery of Australia, in the Australian capital of Canberra.
His Excellency Dr. Obaid AlHairi Salim AlKetbi welcomed his guests who included senior government and military officials and thanked them for their participation in the country’s celebration which praises the role of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow founding fathers who dedicated themselves to the possibilities available in order to achieve the great progress and renaissance of the country. His Excellency also stressed the UAE's enthusiasm in developing further relations with Australia and to work to continue to build bridges of cooperation, investment promotion and cultural exchanges, and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The ceremony was distinguished by showcasing the traditional Emirati hospitality which included the offering of authentic food items, exhibiting a range of cultural artefacts, art pieces and customs including a falconry display all in the vicinity of the heritage asset that is the Emirati tent.
